Edem N. Awuku-Segbedzi

Edem is a Full member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Ghana) and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). He holds a Professional Certificate in Marketing (CIM UK), MBA in Oil & Gas Management (Coventry University, UK) and Bachelor of Science Administration Degree (Marketing Option from the Central University College of Ghana.

Edem’s 17 years’ experience in diverse fields and capacities traversed venturing into unexploited territories including creating new markets; building sustainable CRM systems; designing and implementing marketing strategies for the promotion of goods and services; planning, directing, and coordinating marketing policies and programmes. The art of profiling risk (Risk Assessment) and providing best fit business and insurance advice are key competences which he applies to any given opportunity.

Preceding joining the MIC Team, Edem supported marketing activities at Wapic Insurance Company Limited in different roles. Prior to assuming the position as the Marketing Manager, he was Senior Marketing Officer and Assistant Marketing Manager with marketing activities under his supervision.

As the insurance industry adapts to new challenges and changing consumer expectations, Edem believes marketers need to stay flexible and open to new ways of doing business and must work together to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of ideas and then develop ways to implement the best concepts into actions.
